The Indian STEPs and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) will be hosting the 4th  Annual International Conference on the 8th,9th & 10th  of February 2010 at India Habitat Centre, Delhi.

It is the mandate of ISBA to promote, support and inculcate the ethos of Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship within the National Incubator Framework.

 India has brought out compelling examples of exemplary entrepreneurial skills, in the knowledge domain. ISBA aspires to be the vanguard for spreading this Innovation and Entrepreneurship culture as a movement here in India.

ISBA took the lead in organizing the First ISBA Awards in January 2009 along with the ISBA Conference. Now it has been decided that the Awards shall be an annual event of ISBA. It is proposed that the event shall be held on an appropriate day and time during the Conference period.

Our first Awards Event brought forth a number of proposals. Yet, it would be inappropriate to state that the program went through flawlessly. There were a number of hiccups, but the ISBA resilience pulled us through and all of you were there at Chennai to witness the enthusiasm of the incubates, the incubator managers, and what surprised us all was the interest it created amongst the international delegates.

Let us all put our minds to the 2nd ISBA Awards and present the Indian technology montage for the world to see. Let us at ISBA RISE TO THE CHALLENGE.

ISBA requests all entrepreneurs with innovative technologies to send in their proposals in the following categories:
1. Information and Communication Technologies
2. New Materials
3. Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemistry
4. Clean Technologies (Including Clean Water, Environment and Clean Energy)
5. Engineering /Manufacturing
6. Technologies supporting Inclusive growth (rural development, agriculture, healthcare, communication including projects as mitigator for the urban under-privileged)

Application for the Award should be submitted as per the format (please download) and sent to the Awards Committee by e-mail to awards2010@isba.in. Please also visit our Awards’ website www.isba.in/isba2010/awards (this site will be ready shortly)
The said proposal must reach us by email on or before 2ND October, 2009, 5PM. (Please read the detailed instructions in the downloaded form).  

ISBA has designed a Poster for the Awards. We shall be dispatching 2 posters to your address shortly. In case you need more such poster, please let us know.

Candidates short listed by an expert jury may be required to appear for a presentation in December 2009 for selecting the finalists. Two members of each selected team will be invited to Delhi on February 2010 for the award. ISBA would be providing travel by AC II tier, accommodation and free conference participation at Delhi on the 8th,9th & 10th  Delhi 2010. Team members will get the opportunity to network with other successful teams across the country, government leaders, leading entrepreneurs and global leaders in business incubation,  Incubator Managers,  members of the ISBA fraternity, policy makers, government officials and top academicians – in a word the crème-de-a-la-crème in Incubation, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development.
